Brendan Gullifer launches this blog!
A big thankyou to Brendan Gullifer who launched The Portal yesterday, during our inaugural ‘Longest Library Literary Lunch’. As always Brendan was inspiring and amusing, sharing his enthusiasm for books and writing.
The lunch was a great success – yummy food, stimulating conversation about our favourite books, and of course…prizes! You’ll have to book early to get in next year!

Thursday’s Library’s Longest Literary Lunch was a huge success, due to the hard work and commitment of the Senior Library Team.
Because the lunch was fully booked, with 100% attendance on the day and thoroughly enjoyed by all, there is no doubt the event will take place again in 2009!

i hope we can have more authors to next year
and i wouldn’t mind seeing brendan at lit club again sometime
